Wildcats Strengthen Roster with Another Key Pickup Under Casey Alexander
First-year head coach Casey Alexander continues to push all the right buttons for Kansas State, securing a second recruit who has now announced his plans to join the Wildcats.

Alexander, introduced as the new leader of the Kansas State men’s basketball program on March 16 at Bramlage Coliseum, hasn’t wasted time making an impact.
After landing his first commitment shortly after taking the job, Alexander has now added another promising piece from the South.
Kansas State Snags Second Former Belmont Commit, Jaylen Alexander
Devin Hutcherson was the first to follow Alexander to Manhattan after reopening his recruitment following the coaching transition. Now, Jaylen Alexander has joined him another former Belmont pledge choosing to continue with Alexander at Kansas State.
Alexander announced his decision shortly after 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, sharing a message on social media: “plans change, goals don’t.”
His on-court credentials back up the excitement. Alexander was named the 2025–26 Alabama High School Player of the Year, earned two Alabama All-State selections, and captured Class 6A State Tournament MVP honors as a senior.
He guided Oxford High School to a 30–4 record and the program’s first-ever state championship. As a junior, he posted 18.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and nearly three steals per game, surpassing the 2,000 career-point mark later in the season.
