The Miami Hurricanes are working to construct a dominant offensive line for the long haul, and coach Mario Cristobal is hoping local standout Sean Tatum becomes one of its cornerstone players. Tatum has narrowed his top choices to Miami, Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida, but everything points toward the Hurricanes leading the pack.

Tatum, regarded as one of the premier interior offensive linemen in the 2027 class, is expected to form the core of Miami’s line alongside five-star offensive tackle Mark Matthews.
4-star OL Target Shows Strong Interest in Miami
Tatum has an official visit to Miami scheduled for the end of May, where the coaching staff is expected to push for a commitment. The Fort Pierce, Florida native also has visits lined up to Florida on June 5, Tennessee on June 12, and Auburn on June 19. While he is considering other programs, including Florida State, no additional official visits have been announced.

The Hurricanes already have one offensive line commitment in three-star tackle Zaquan Linton from West Palm Beach and are expected to sign at least four linemen in this class. Miami recently hosted Matthews for a visit and he remains heavily inclined toward the Hurricanes.
Since Cristobal’s arrival, offensive line play has been a major focus, and the results are starting to show. Miami boasts top-tier talent on both sides of the line, including defensive lineman Reuben Bain Jr. and offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa, who are both projected to go early in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Now, Cristobal is looking at Tatum and Matthews, along with five-star freshman Jackson Cantwell, to form the next wave of dominant Hurricanes linemen — a group that could play a key role in Miami’s pursuit of a national championship.
