At least one member of the current Kansas State basketball squad will be back on the floor for new head coach Casey Alexander next season. Freshman guard Andrej Kostic, who hails from Serbia, has confirmed he will return for another year with the Wildcats. Kostic averaged 5.2 points and 1.7 rebounds across 23 appearances. The 6-foot-6 guard started slowly under former coach Jerome Tang but finished the season on a high note, putting up 7.1 points per game over his final seven outings under interim coach Matthew Driscoll. His best performance came in a matchup with Kansas, where he scored 12 points.

A reliable perimeter shooter, Kostic knocked down 30 of his 80 three-point attempts last season, making him a strong fit for the uptempo, perimeter-oriented system Alexander employed at Belmont. At the moment, he is the only current player who has pledged to return to Bramlage Coliseum next year.
Five Wildcats have already entered the transfer portal, including top scorer PJ Haggerty — a development Alexander anticipated, admitting early on that he expected significant roster turnover after taking the job.
