Arizona looks to have missed out on another key transfer target, as Fox News’ Aaron Torres reports that Kansas transfer forward Bryson Tiller has cancelled his planned visit with the Wildcats. Tiller was originally set to be in Tucson on Wednesday.

Heading into Wednesday, Arizona was seen as a strong contender, sitting second in the race with a 40.6% projected chance of landing Tiller according to On3/Rivals. Missouri led the pursuit at 46.4%, but by Wednesday morning, the Tigers had surged ahead significantly, with their odds rising to 72.3%.

The Wildcats’ situation at power forward remains unsettled. Freshman Koa Peat, who is expected to start in the 2025–26 season, is projected as a potential 2026 NBA Draft pick, though he has not yet made a final decision on whether he will declare or return for another year. That uncertainty leaves Arizona trying to plan ahead while still waiting on clarity.

Tiller had already taken visits to Miami and Missouri after entering the 2026 transfer portal following his departure from Kansas. Arizona, Miami, Michigan, and Missouri were among his early finalists. Notably, Miami eliminated Missouri in the NCAA Tournament’s second round, while Arizona’s season ended in the national semifinals against Michigan.

With Tiller now likely off the board, Arizona is forced to reassess its options at the four spot. One name to monitor is Duke transfer Nikolas Khamenia, who had previously shown interest in Arizona during his high school recruitment. Although listed as a small forward, he could potentially fit into multiple frontcourt roles depending on roster construction.

Depth remains a concern in the frontcourt. Ivan Kharchenkov saw extended minutes at power forward when both Dwayne Aristode (now in the transfer portal) and Peat were unavailable, while freshman Sidi Gueye has also since entered the portal. Arizona may be waiting on Peat’s NBA Draft decision before making its next major move, with the early-entry deadline set for April 24 at 11:59 PM ET an outcome that could ultimately shape the Wildcats’ entire forward rotation for 2026–27.
