The Kentucky Wildcats are deep into roster construction for the upcoming season. After securing their first commitment on Wednesday afternoon from Washington guard Zoom Diallo, the staff received more good news with the return of a 7-foot contributor.

Reece Potter, a native of Miami, Ohio, announced on social media that he will come back to Lexington for his senior year.

Potter arrived last season but battled a “chronic health issue” that required a lengthy recovery, according to Mark Pope. The condition kept him sidelined for the entire year, even as Kentucky needed additional frontcourt depth. As a result, he redshirted and still has at least two years of eligibility left.

Before joining the Wildcats, Potter spent two seasons with the Redhawks, where he shot nearly 40% from three-point range.

His Instagram caption read: “I’m back. Let’s go to work, BBN.” Clearly, he’s excited to suit up for Kentucky again.
