On Friday evening, the Philadelphia Phillies will begin a series against the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park in Florida.
The Phillies enter the game after a 6-5 victory over the San Francisco Giants.
In that game, Trea Turner recorded two hits, including a home run.
Phillies Announce Decision on Trea Turner Ahead of Marlins Game

For Friday’s matchup, the Phillies have revealed their starting lineup.
Turner is currently batting .252, with 32 hits, four home runs, 11 RBIs, 20 runs, and three stolen bases over 31 games.
This marks his fourth season with the Phillies.
Shaun Nestor of MetroPhilly noted: “Zack Wheeler is on the mound, Kyle Schwarber is leading off, and Trea Turner is riding the pine tonight.”

Turner was selected 13th overall in the 2014 MLB Draft.
He spent the first six and a half seasons of his career with the Washington Nationals, helping lead them to the 2019 World Series championship.
After leaving the Nationals and before joining the Phillies, Turner had a brief stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The three-time All-Star owns a career .296 batting average and 1,563 hits.
Phillies’ Current Status

The Phillies currently sit in fourth place in the National League East with a 12–19 record over 31 games.
They have gone just 4–9 in 13 road contests.
Following the four-game set against the Marlins, the Phillies will return home to host the Athletics.
Recently, the Phillies moved on from manager Rob Thomson.
MLB legend Pedro Martínez wrote on April 28: “Alex Cora and Rob Thomson are both victims of their success. They did so well and both organizations gave so much to them to handle, that when things stopped clicking, they were the ones to blame.”
The Phillies reached the World Series in 2022 and have made the MLB playoffs for four consecutive seasons.
