Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has never been the type to ignore a trade call in fact, he’s built a reputation as one of the NFL’s most aggressive dealmakers when it comes to upgrading his roster.
With the draft kicking off on April 23, it’s no surprise the Eagles have been active on the phones. The 2026 NFL Draft is an ideal stage for Roseman to pull off another move, and it sounds like more trades could be on the horizon.
According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, Philadelphia is “plotting to make a deal on draft weekend.” Schefter notes that any A.J. Brown chatter might only be the beginning. League sources believe Roseman has something brewing, and rival executives are expecting a move sometime this week.
One player connected to the Eagles is Minnesota Vikings linebacker Jonathan Greenard. Philadelphia has reportedly checked in on him multiple times this offseason, though the Vikings have been holding out for a premium Day 2 pick. While discussions between the teams have cooled recently, sources say those talks could pick back up during the draft. And Greenard isn’t the only name on the Eagles’ radar Roseman is known for having multiple backup plans ready.
The Eagles hold the 23rd overall pick heading into Thursday, along with selections at 54, 68, 98, and 114 among their eight total picks. With that kind of draft capital, Philadelphia has more than enough leverage to chase players whose trade value may have dipped — and to keep things interesting all weekend long.
