Kentucky Basketball has one backcourt target already set to visit, while another is lining up a trip to Lexington soon.

To start, Matt Jones reports that Furman transfer Alex Wilkins is on his way to Lexington for his previously scheduled visit. The 6-foot-5, 175-pound combo guard had an impressive freshman season with the Paladins, averaging 17.8 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game. He shot 46% from the field and 32.8% from beyond the arc on 5.7 attempts per game. Although he primarily handled point guard duties last season, Wilkins appears open to shifting more toward shooting guard at his next stop. He’s currently ranked No. 41 overall in the transfer portal by 247Sports.

Meanwhile, Kentucky is also expected to host Hofstra transfer Cruz Davis, according to Joe Tipton. Davis is currently visiting Texas Tech and has additional visits planned with South Carolina and Grand Canyon.

Davis began his college career at Iona under Rick Pitino, followed him to St. John’s for a season, then re-entered the portal before ultimately landing at Hofstra. He played just four games with St. John’s before suffering a season-ending injury, which earned him a medical redshirt and an extra year of eligibility one Kentucky is hoping to capitalize on. He’s ranked No. 28 overall by 247Sports.

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound guard brings experience at both point guard and shooting guard. He primarily ran the point this past season after playing mostly off the ball in 2024-25.

That versatility could be key, especially after Kentucky secured a commitment from Washington point guard Zoom Diallo. Davis could potentially fit as a flexible backcourt piece capable of playing both on and off the ball next season.
