With decision day approaching, a clear front-runner has emerged in the recruitment of four-star prospect Miikka Muurinen, who is set to reveal his college choice on Monday. Travis Branham, a recruiting analyst for 247 Sports, has entered a Crystal Ball pick with a 6/10 confidence level favoring Muurinen to commit to John Calipari and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Muurinen, a 6-foot-10, 185-pound power forward from Serbia, is ranked 55th overall and the ninth-best power forward in the 2026 class by 247 Sports. His blend of size, agility, and perimeter ability has made him one of the most compelling international prospects in this recruiting cycle.
Kentucky has remained a factor throughout his recruitment. Head coach Mark Pope and his staff offered him a scholarship in July 2024 and made Muurinen a priority, including an in-person visit in April 2025. The Wildcats stayed in his top group when he narrowed his list to seven schools, which also includes Arkansas, Duke, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, and NC State.

Other notable programs like Indiana, North Carolina, BYU, Illinois, and NC State have also pursued the talented forward, making this a fiercely competitive race in its final stages.
Muurinen will announce his decision Monday at 10 AM ET. With Branham and other insiders believing Arkansas will be his landing spot, Coach Pope may need to look elsewhere as he works to complete Kentucky’s 2026–27 roster.
