Former Kentucky forward Mouhamed Dioubate has committed to transferring to LSU, remaining in the SEC for his final college basketball season. Prior to his time at Kentucky, Dioubate spent two seasons at Alabama under head coach Nate Oats.

A seasoned SEC player, Dioubate brings 101 career games of experience, including nearly 60 conference matchups. Last season with the Wildcats, he posted averages of 8.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, one block, and one steal per game. Known as both an efficient scorer and a tough defender, Dioubate represents a strong addition for Will Wade as he returns to lead LSU.

Beyond his skill set, Dioubate’s commitment is significant simply because it’s an addition. He marks Wade’s first transfer pledge during his second stint at LSU, with the entire 2025–26 roster having departed. While Wade clearly has plenty of work ahead in the transfer portal, landing Dioubate is an encouraging first step.

Dioubate started 10 games for Kentucky last season, including a standout performance in the Wildcats’ first-round NCAA tournament win over Santa Clara, where he recorded 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
