Isaac McNeil, a four-star linebacker in the class of 2027 from Vigor High School in Alabama, recently made an official visit to LSU to see what the Tigers have to offer. His top seven schools currently include Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Jackson State, LSU, and Texas A&M.

The visit to LSU reportedly met many of his expectations and strengthened the Tigers’ standing in his recruitment. “I had a great visit at LSU,” McNeil said. “The visit definitely moved them high up my list. They got great facilities. It was like a family atmosphere.” He left Baton Rouge feeling genuinely pursued by the LSU coaching staff. “They really want me and feel I can make an impact,” he added.

Other programs on his shortlist are also expected to host him for official visits, with Alabama scheduled as his final stop in June. McNeil recently visited the Crimson Tide and noted how much they value him. “They are saying that I am a high priority for them and that I can be a strong asset to their defense in the future,” he said.
At 6-foot-2 and around 210 pounds, Alabama sees McNeil as an inside linebacker. During the 2025 season, he was effective both as an interior defender and as a pass rusher off the edge. His film highlights his ability to make open-field tackles and close in on the ball with impressive speed. As each school jockeys for position, LSU appears to have gained some momentum following a successful official visit.
