Kentucky’s 2027 recruiting class gained momentum on Friday with a pledge from Lexington Christian Academy tight end Conrad Hart.
The 6-foot-5, 235-pound in-state prospect is the newest addition to head coach Will Stein’s growing haul. Rated a three-star tight end, Hart committed to the Wildcats shortly after receiving his first Power 4 offer from Kentucky.
Hart, a Lexington native, visited campus less than two weeks ago to observe a practice and meet with Stein and his staff. After Kentucky officially offered him on Thursday, the recruiting drive quickly built steam, resulting in Hart’s decision the very next day.
He also held offers from Eastern Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Toledo, Ohio, Miami (OH), and others. Though Hart had planned official visits to Toledo and Ohio for late May and June, those trips are now unlikely following his commitment.
This past season, Hart was a key contributor in Lexington Christian Academy’s run to the 2025 Class 2A state championship under head coach Oakley Watkins. During the title game at Kroger Field, he caught three passes for 15 yards and a touchdown in a 33-28 win over Owensboro Catholic.
As a junior, Hart recorded 16 receptions for 190 yards and four touchdowns, plus two rushing scores. On defense, he added 47 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and a fumble recovery.
Hart is the second tight end in Kentucky’s 2027 class alongside Tank Proctor, bringing the Wildcats’ total commitments to 12.
